Mufasa,
Oh my gosh that's crazy!!!!!!!! I miss that kid. If only we could all lose tens of pounds while on our missions haha. That dawg. That's so neat though. Thanks for the pictures they made my day. We had a pretty busy week. We did a few exchanges with a set of zone leaders a district leader and his companion and a tranier and trainee. They were all really good. There's nothing like being gone on exchanges for days at a time then returning to a nice little bed to sleep on haha. Glad camping is going good. I'll be home right on time for the big memorial day campout next year! Maybe even play a little golf upon my return! But anyways back to stuff I need to worry about haha.

This week was very good in all aspects. We were able to do a lot of work on the few days that we were in our area and we've seen a lot of miracles and blessings here in the 5th ward. We have a lady we're teaching named Tasha. She came to us as a media referral and has been struggling in life and talked to some missionaries in Palmdale and they gave her a card i'm guessing because she went to mormon.org and requested missionaries to come by and visit her. She was super open to the restoration and soaked it in with real intent. She has a baptismal date for June 29! She was going to come to church yesterday but forgot she'd already committed to go to her neighbors church. Fortunately enough for us it wasn't fun for her. She decided to name some of the events that happened in this way "people would go up and they'd hit em on the head then they'd fall down and say they were filled with the spirit and flop like a fish" She then talked about the experience with the gift of tongues and upon so doing we gave her our belief on that gift and she said "Well I don't think they were speaking spanish, or chinese, or japanese, or any other language i've ever heard.." She went and wasn't too enthused about it and so she is very excited to attend church with us this coming Sunday. She's already read like half of the Book of Mormon in like a week and is enjoying it thoroughly!

We also were able to meet with Jennifer. Who we met in the streets. I'll admit, at first I didn't see it really going anywhere, she's an 18 year old girl with a 1 year old daughter. But she's super nice and very open. So we've met with her like four or five times and she's soaking up what we teach as well. She came to church yesterday and she really enjoyed it. When she came home her mom even asked her what happened cause she came home happier then normal and cleaned and took care of things etc. You can physically see a greater light in her eyes and she is doing really well. She has a baptismal date for the 29th of June as well.

So yeah all in all pretty fantastic stuff. I told myself I was never gonna be one of these strict by the book individuals when it came to being a missionary. But it seems at the time of my conversion we're busier then ever before and have seen more blessings then i've seen on my mission. So fancy that, when you obey you're blessed. Funny how that works. Just gotta fight off those fenes who try to change you other wise haha. But I gotta run. I love you all very mucho. Thank you so much for all that you do and I will talk to you next week!!
Love,
Your Son!

Fasha,
Yeah why wouldn't the new car be designed and chiseled by the gods of automobiles. So I literally have about ten minutes to e-mail everyone because we have some administrative business to get done today. I had no idea Big D already got his call. Where's he going in California? Also I got the g's and cash. Thank you so much for sending that. It saved me big time today. Glad to hear all is well and you could actually fit everyone in the picture of the family this time now that I'm not taking up so much space. Due to time i'm just going to share a quick miracle this week. I was in Wasco on an exchange with a couple missionaries and we had a really neat miracle while I was with them. We were in a trailer park and we knocked on a door and a 16 year old girl answered. We started talking to her about the Plan of Salvation and the conversation continued for about ten minutes. I felt prompted to ask her if she'd ever prayed before. She said once a long time ago at church. So Then I asked her if she believed in God and she said no not really. So Elder Hawley asked her if we could pray with her and she said sure. So we did and it was a very simple fervent prayer that Elder Webb gave, but at the end she looked up and had tears in her eyes and she said she felt overwhelmed. So hopefully she'll be able to continue to progress in the gospel with their help. She has a lot of potential.
That's the fun happenings for the week! Hopefully I'll have more time next week to fill you in on what's happening love you and miss you very much. Thank you again for all you do! Enjoy the ride!!!!
Love,

Your son

Pops!!

It's all good about the car. I was doing some contemplating and I was being rather selfish with my decisions. I don't need a car like that. So glad it all worked out the way it did. But I did have a dream about you the other night. You might have to clarify whether it was a dream or vision. It was me and you driving around in a luxurious white 750 Li BMW. Vision or dream? You decide ;)

So it's been a really good week. Elder Gates and I were able to teach a lot of people the restoration in the streets this week and pick up a new investigator who didn't seem necessarily golden, but is willing to meet with us so hopefully the spirit will touch her heart and she'll desire to get baptized. We also had a really neat miracle where we were out walking and trying to find more investigators because we've been having a hard time finding them. So we decided we'd trust the Lord to put people in our path. First person we talked to was a girl named Savannah. She was sitting in her garage surrounded by cans of beer and she had a rougher physical appearance to her with tattoos and earrings etc. So we started talking to her and she was one of the nicest girls I've talked to on my mission. She was telling us how she felt God was prompting her to come back to church and she was going to go to new life with her brother on Sunday. So we taught her the restoration and she seemed very open to the idea and we invited her to be baptized and she accepted! She was at her mother's house though so she doesn't live in our area. But it's all good. She should be coming to church this coming Sunday in the YSA ward here in Bakersfield so that'll be really exciting. We also have been making some headway with one of our investigators Theresa. She's more of the atheistic type. But the more we've met with her the more she has opened up to us and been willing to read and pray and etc. So that should be rather exciting this upcoming transfer and i'm going to have to continue to follow up with Elder Gates about her to make sure she's doing alright.

So after being a Zone Leader for a transfer, I'm getting transferred to North Bakersfield to be a traveling trainer. I'm going to be with Elder Jensen for his last transfer and we'll be going on exchanges with all the companionships who will be training this transfer. It's going to be hard. But I know it'll be worth it. Elder Jensen is an outstanding missionary who I got to know while I was in Simi. I know i'm going to learn a lot from him and it's going to be a miracle filled transfer in the Bakersfield 5th ward.

Time is just a cruising a long. It's pretty crazy how that works. Cam has like 5 months left. His mission got shortened two weeks due to the age drop and what not so he told me he'd be home mid October which is insane. I also hit my year mark in less then 3 weeks. I'm not gonna lie, this is the hardest thing I've ever done. Seems like it's only gonna get harder too. But hey refiners fire. Nothing like a good beating to build some character. But that's about all I got for you at this time. I'm sure I'll have loads of info next week. Elder Robbins of the Seventy is touring the mission next week so that will be pretty intense...... But love you lots and I'll call you on Sunday in the Evening! Keep your phone on!

Love,

Your Son

WHOAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You wrecked that one a little bit..... That's a tad bit unfortunate. Glad to hear you're okay though! Judast. Think after 30 years of driving a car you would've had it down by now haha. My gall maybe you shouldn't repent yet so you can stick around here a little longer! Once your slate's clean sounds like he's gonna bring ya home! As for your question... The Charger would be sweet. But if Jordan and Kory get married then that'd be awkward having the same car as him. But hey I'll be grateful with whatever i'm given. If I could be picky enough I'd love a new Camaro or Challenger! I don't know what the mileage on those beasts is like. But I figure it'll be in the 20's somewhere! But like I said I'll be glad for something that gets me where I need to go. Just has to have enough space for clubs in the trunk!

Also good to hear that Shaun gets to serve a little extra and the ol Swiss Consolate is doing well! That's sweet! Glad the Guido's are doing good too! Haha that's pretty funny. Spencer Anderson got me the stuff by the way! Thank you for sending that down. I'll be looking pretty slick in that suit! Never seen G's that were so white either!  So thank you so much for that, and if you had nothing to do with it tell Nic thank you for me! haha

Work update, so good things are still happening in the beautiful land of Bakersfield. We talked to Bianca yesterday and she said she's going to get back to us today so we can meet up this week! So always hope there. Then we got a call from some other missionaries about a guy they met at institute who lives down in our area and he wants to check out the church and from the sounds of it get baptized. So that'll be sweet! He's wanting to finish school though before he gets too serious so hopefully we'll be able to meet with him in the next couple weeks. Other then that nothing too crazy this week. We had a lot of good less active work and teaching them so that's good. But still alive and haven't been mugged yet so can't really complain. It's getting warm though. It almost broke 100 yesterday... Transfers are next week. This one came up wayyyy too fast. I'm hoping and praying that I'll be able to stay with Elder Gates for another transfer or two. He only has two left so it'd be cool to see him off. I won't be able to talk to you on Wednesday either so Happy Birthday! I'm a little short on cash for gifts, BUT I remembered and I hope it's the best day of your life. Sounds like that brief getting over can be my present to you. Hopefully you'll be able to take a little breather and maybe go hit the links with our good friend Steve Winn. But I love you soo much and glad you're alive to tell the tale, cause dead men don't have that sort of luxury. I'll talk to you next week and try not to hit anyone this time!! Love ya!

Love,

Elder Brady Scott
